Blow it’s a Hair Thing is located in the heart of Adelaide’s CBD and has been in operation since 2003. It consists of a dedicated team of 11 staff ranging from a first year apprentice to owner operator Steve LaBella who has been hairdressing in Adelaide for over 30 years. With a broad spectrum of clientele and vast array of requests, one thing remains constant – the importance of colour.

Blow it’s a Hair Thing live by the philosophy that it is imperative that the whole team keep ahead of industry trends as the salon strives to remain market leaders in hair colour and creation. Steve believes that “to thrive on learning and experimenting is both exciting and rewarding. The Redken colour competition is a perfect tool for staff to shine and to personally express their unique style and it also creates an immediate sense of excitement and motivation within the salon”.

Steve is all about developing his staff to their full potential, so they can deliver clients a service above and beyond the normal salon experience, maintaining that by being involved in competitions such as Future Colour his staff “are given the opportunity to create, express and individualise a look within a certain criteria. From these experiences, their sense of awareness, ability and self confidence is raised which allows us to consistently exceed the expectations of our clients with the products and services that we offer on a daily basis”.
